How we got here and what we focus on.
We met in a computer science class at UC San Diego. Eventually we moved in together, and naturally spent a lot of time building things and experimenting with technology. When AI tools started becoming more accessible, we tried them out early—not because we had a plan, but because we were curious.
We built projects around smart homes, car tuning, and other automation-heavy ideas. It was interesting work, and we learned a lot about what automation is good at and where it actually adds value. But we also noticed something: the most consistent problems we saw weren't in those projects.
The real friction was in everyday business operations. Missed calls. Manual follow-ups that should have been automatic. Tools that didn't talk to each other. Hours spent on admin work that could be handled by systems. These weren't flashy problems, but they were real ones that slowed people down every day.
We formed JK Automations to focus on business operations. Not because it's trendy, but because it's where automation can immediately help real people. When a business owner can stop worrying about missed messages or disconnected tools, they can focus on what actually matters.
JK Automations focuses on practical automation for small businesses. We build reliable systems that save time and reduce friction. We try to make automation feel understandable and useful, not complicated or mysterious.
We want to make people's lives easier and help them feel more prepared for the future. That's it. No need to overcomplicate it.
